Teachers go to school too!
In the morning, I begin the Orton-Gillingham training. I have wanted to participate in this training for some time now, so I am delighted for the opportunity to work with the staff at Lamar County Schools. The Orton-Gillingham method is a sensory-based teaching method that helps students with reading difficulties. Many of our teachers next year will be using the READ WELL literacy program, that is based on the Orton-Gillingham teachings. Can't wait!
